10 New Records Set By Cole Palmer This Season

Cole Palmer scored four goals as Chelsea beat Everton 6-0 at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

Here are the 10 records Cole Palmer has set this season following his latest heroics against Everton:

1] Cole Palmer is the first ever Chelsea player to score in seven successive Premier League appearances at Stamford Bridge following his goals against Everton.

2] Cole Palmer has become the first Chelsea player to score over 20 goals in all competitions since Eden Hazard in the 2018/2019 season.

3) Cole Palmer has became the first Chelsea player since Diego Costa in the 2014/15 season to score 20 goals or more in all competitions in his debut campaign.

4) Palmer has now scored more penalties (9) in a season than any other player aged 21 or under, and is yet to miss one. Only one player has taken more penalties with a 100 per cent conversion rate – Yaya Toure (11/11).

5) Cole Palmer scored an astonishing 101st minute winner in the 4-3 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, the latest in Premier League history.

6) Cole Palmer is the first Chelsea player to score FOUR goals in a single Premier League game since Frank Lampard in March 2010.

7) Cole Palmer has scored as many Premier League hat-tricks in his last two home games as Eden Hazard, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard, Sadio Mané, Riyad Mahrez, Gareth Bale and Alexis Sánchez managed in their entire Premier League careers (2).

8) Cole Palmer completed his hat-trick in the 29th minute against Everton with a long-range effort before later scoring a fourth in the second-half. It was the quickest ever hat-trick by a Chelsea player in Premier League history.

9) Palmer began by scoring with his left foot, followed by a header for his second goal. He finished his hat-trick with a long-range strike using his less dominant right foot, curving it over Everton goalkeeper Jordon Pickford, who had inadvertently passed the ball directly to him. The ball was beautifully arced, settling just beneath the crossbar into the net.

This marked Chelsea’s first perfect hat-trick in the Premier League since Christian Pulisic’s against Burnley in October 2019.

10) Palmer has become only the second player to achieve consecutive home hat-tricks for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, following Drogba, who accomplished this in 2010.

However, Drogba’s hat-tricks were split by the summer break—one at the close of the 2009/10 season against Wigan and the other at the beginning of the 2010/11 season versus West Brom. Palmer is the first Chelsea player to score two hat-tricks in the same Premier League season.
