United manager Erik ten Hag

Three big problems with the Dutchman’s management have been highlighted, and Manchester United has been asked to fire Erik ten Hag for the club’s benefit.

On Saturday, Bournemouth embarrassed Manchester United by scoring three unanswered goals against a terrible United team. It was United’s eleventh loss in just 23 matches this season, in all competitions.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s approaching partial takeover, big changes are on the way. The club will undergo transformation as the British millionaire prepares to buy a 25% interest.

CEO Richard Arnold has previously resigned, and John Murtough, who is in charge of football, is reportedly in a precarious position.

According to The Independent, if adequate offers are made, prominent players Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Casemiro can all depart in January.

Many United supporters may be curious as to whether Ten Hag will be a part of Ratcliffe’s new regime. Although he is only purchasing a 25% initial interest, the 71-year-old will become United’s de facto sports director.

When Ratcliffe assumes charge, Ten Hag is not immediately threatened with termination. Ex-Liverpool and England player Danny Murphy, though, claims that Ten Hag is clearly not the right type for the job.

Murphy argued in a Daily Mail essay that United must cut links with Ten Hag if they want to regain their position as English football’s dominant force.

A trio of Ten Hag concerns identified

Murphy gave three good reasons: Ten Hag’s lackluster recruiting, his failure to inspire the team, and his tactical acumen.

In Murphy’s opinion, “Ten Hag is not the manager to take United there” if the club ever wants to be considered among the best in English football.

With Ten Hag at the helm, United just do not have the players to compete with Liverpool, City, and Arsenal.

I have yet to witness a club that improves upon its first-year performance. With Ten Hag at the helm, I don’t see any improvement in the one I’ve noticed regressing.

Naturally, Ten Hag isn’t entirely to blame. He is not the root of United’s troubles. It would be beneficial for some of the participants to examine themselves as well.

Despite Ten Hag’s considerable influence, United’s recruitment efforts have failed to produce any successful signings so far. He needs to improve his tactical game and inspire the rest of the team, who appear unmotivated.

Time to line up the next management – Murphy

Murphy is convinced that United cannot be led to greatness by Ten Hag, but he has stressed that United must have a thorough succession plan in place before removing the Dutchman.

Since 2014, when their predecessors were ousted, Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick (both caretaker), and Ralf Rangnick (interim) have all had stints as United boss.

Instead of making the same mistakes again, Murphy suggested that United find their future CEO before slipping Ten Hag a surprise.

According to Murphy, United should definitely fire Ten Hag and bring in a new manager so he can figure out what the team needs if they want to reach their goals this season.

It’s really bad because Ten Hag is a kind guy, but he seemed to have taken the United post a little too soon.
