Customs CGC visits VON, pledges support for public awareness (Pictures)
The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, made a significant visit to the Voice of Nigeria (VON) Corporate Headquarters on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, where he was warmly received by the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndache.
During the visit, CGC Adeniyi was acknowledged for his commendable achievements and extensive outreach to stakeholders, including various media organisations. The Director General expressed gratitude for the CGC’s continuous and immense support to VON.
Acknowledging the CGC’s commitment and integrity, the Director General described him as an astute leader with vast experience, highlighting his expertise in public relations.
In his response, CGC Adeniyi underscored the importance of open governance and alignment with the administration’s agenda to promote economic recovery, political stability, and national security. He emphasized transparency and the need for effective communication of government policies to the citizens.

The CGC pledged the Nigeria Customs Service’s support for VON in raising public awareness, recognising the crucial role of VON in disseminating government policies.

In conclusion, CGC Adeniyi expressed gratitude for the warm reception and expressed eagerness to collaborate with VON to use its platforms to reach border communities and keep them informed about NCS policies and activities.
