Following the conclusion of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, and other members of the G-5 group were seen jubilating in celebration.
The other members are former governors Samuel Ortom of Benue, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Ifeanyin Ugwuanyi of Enugu.
The NEC meeting, held at the PDP National Headquarters in Abuja, marked a significant moment for the party, with key stakeholders in attendance.
One of the notable highlights of the meeting was the affirmation of confidence in Umar Iliya Damagum as the acting National Chairman of the PDP by the National Working Committee (NWC).
Damagum is widely known to favour Wike’s camp, hence the celebration among the G-5 governors.
