Palestinians residing in these areas were instructed to leave, with notifications being sent via text and audio messages to their phones.

This move follows Israeli tanks and troops entering Rafah and seizing a key crossing on the Egyptian border.

The evacuation order covers various locations, including parts of Rafah’s Shabura refugee camp, administrative area, Jenina, and Khirbet al-Adas neighborhoods.

Displaced Gazans are directed to head to the coastal “humanitarian area” in Al-Mawasi.

However, aid groups and UN officials have raised concerns about the overcrowded conditions in the designed humanitarian area, stating that it may not be ready to accommodate large amount of people.

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee justified the evacuation orders by citing recent Hamas terrorist activities in the affected areas.

Suhaib al-Hams, a hospital director in Rafah, expressed disappointment over the inclusion of the Kuwait Speciality Hospital in the evacuation zones, stressing that it is an important facility for patients and injured individuals.

He called for immediate international protection for the medical facility.

The Israeli army’s issuance of evacuation orders indicates preparation for a potential ground attack, with officials confirming their commitment to end Hamas battalions in Rafah.
