MCI vs WHU: Man City’s Potential XI That Could See Them Win An Historic Fourth EPL Title vs West Ham

Manchester City are on the verge of making history with a potential fourth consecutive Premier League title win.

Following a slightly tense 2-0 victory over Tottenham on Tuesday, Pep Guardiola’s men stands as formidable contenders poised to clinch the trophy once again as they prepare to face West Ham in the final match of the season.

The Manchester side approached the crucial fixture against Tottenham with a clean bill of health, benefitting from the return of Jack Grealish and Nathan Ake to the squad after battling illness and minor injury, respectively.

However, their triumph was not without its casualties.

Despite Guardiola’s assurances that star goalkeeper Ederson did not sustain a concussion during a collision with Cristian Romero and was replaced by Stefan Ortega due to an eye problem affecting his vision, doubts loom over Ederson’s availability for the upcoming clash against West Ham.

Guardiola clarified, “Ederson did not have concussion, he had a problem with his eye. He could not see properly, so the doctor said I should change.”

While Ortega stepped in admirably following Ederson’s departure, uncertainty persists regarding the starting goalkeeper for the pivotal match against West Ham.

Additionally, concerns were raised over the condition of Kevin De Bruyne, who was substituted after struggling to run properly following a challenge from Pape Matar Sarr.

Guardiola provided reassurance, stating that De Bruyne’s injury concerns had eased after the game.
