Police Confirm 15 Dead In Kano Mosque Attack

The Police Command in Kano State has confirmed the death of 15 persons in a mosque attack in Gadan village in Gezawa Local Government Area of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a man on Wednesday allegedly sprayed the mosque with petrol, locked its doors and setting it on fire, trapping about 40 worshippers.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Usaini Gumel, told NAN in a telephone interview that so far 15 out of the 24 victims of the incident died.
Fire Guts New NNPC Terminal In Lagos

The new Nigerian National Petroleum Company Terminal in Apapa, Lagos has caught fire.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service on Friday afternoon said it was currently attending to the fire outbreak at the new NNPC Terminal, formerly OVH, Kayode Street, Marine Beach, Apapa.
A statement issued by the Director/CEO of the state fire service, Margaret Adeseye, around 1 pm on Friday said the “fire resulted from a spillage of petroleum products within the perimeter of the tank farm as concerted efforts with various emergency responders within the oil and gas industry to contain the situation”.

Indigenes of Nkomoro Community in Ezza North Council of Ebonyi have warned against the imposition of a traditional ruler in the Area.
The people alleged and accused a few members of the community of a secret plot to impose a traditional ruler on them against the constitution governing the community.
They described such a move as capable of plunging the community into an avoidable crisis.
Oyo Announces Recruitment Of 7000 Primary School Teachers, 100 Caregivers For Special Schools

The Oyo State government has announced the recruitment of 7,000 teachers for primary schools.
It also announced the recruitment of 100 caregivers for special schools in the state.
Dr. Nureni Adeniran, the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), disclosed at a press conference in Ibadan that “preliminary work” on the recruitment process had begun.
