“Staying is Certainly an Option “- Amrabat speaks out on his Man United’s future after FA Cup win

Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has expressed his desire to continue his journey with the club beyond his loan spell, indicating his readiness to discuss his future with the Red Devils in the upcoming days and weeks, according to Metro.

Throughout the season, the Moroccan international faced challenges in securing a consistent role within the team, starting in only 10 Premier League matches.

This struggle was worsened by being frequently deployed out of position due to the team’s injury woes.

However, Amrabat showed his mettle in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, delivering a stellar performance in his preferred central midfield position.

His display earned praise from club legend Paul Scholes, who likened him to ‘prime [Gennaro] Gattuso’.

Despite the uncertainties surrounding his future, with United unlikely to exercise their £21 million buy option, the 27-year-old remains optimistic about prolonging his tenure at Old Trafford.

In an interview with Ziggo Sport following the final, Amrabat remarked, “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option.”

Reflecting on his adaptability, particularly when filling in at left-back, he opened up on his perseverance, stating, “That wasn’t easy. I have always remained calm and trained very hard. Ultimately, that patience has been rewarded.”
