Kylian Mbappe: Departing PSG star not been paid full salary and bonus by club
According to reports, departing Kylian Mbappe is yet to be paid his full salary and bonuses by PSG.
Mbappe announced his departure from the French giants before the end of the 2023-2024 season and has played his last game for the club.
The French international played his last game for the Ligue 1 winners against Lyon in the final of the Coupe de France.
PSG won the Coupe de France tournament, defeating Lyon 2-1 and claiming their second trophy of the season.
Mbappe’s salary
The Ligue 1 giants expect Mbappe to leave on a free transfer after his contract expires, with Real Madrid being his ultimate destination.
However, despite his imminent departure, it has been reported that the World Cup winner has yet to receive his salary.
According to L’Equipe, Mbappe’s relationship with PSG has soured because he is still owed money from his bonus payment from February and a portion of his April salary.
The French media is now claiming that PSG saved about €80 million (£68 million) by not giving Mbappe his entire salary and bonus.
It was reported that PSG ‘forgot’ to give Mbappe his salary and bonus for April, which has sparked a lot of curiosity.
However, Daily Mail reports that there is a relaxed relationship between Mbappe and the club and that they are still trying to agree on the amount owed to the player.
Mbappe appears to be leaving PSG with the support of his teammates, with Real Madrid being his next reported destination.
