Adekunle Gold rates Timi Dakolo’s song, ‘Great Nation’ over reinstated national anthem
Afrobeat singer Adekunle Gold has joined the conversation, expressing his preference for his colleague, Timi Dakolo’s song “Great Nation” over the recently reinstated national anthem.
You may recall that President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024, which reinstates the old national anthem.
His action has sparked outrage among Nigerian citizens, who feel that the President is neglecting the ongoing economic hardships in the country.
In response to this development, Adekunle Gold questioned whether Timi Dakolo’s “Great Nation” would make a better anthem than the reinstated national anthem, igniting conversations among netizens.
He wrote:
“No one thought Timi Dakolo’s Great Nation makes a better anthem?”
