64 min: Man City 4 Chelsea 1
Playing out from the back works this time and Nkunku plays in Marc Guiu who came on in at some point in the chaos of those three goals. The former Barcelona man should double Chelsea’s tally but drags his effort wide.
It was Fernandez who made way for Guiu while Badiashile came on for Tosin. Goal! Sterling gets one back
Man City 4 Chelsea 1: Madueke beats his man down the outside on the right before standing one up to the back post. Sterling takes the cross superbly on the side volley as he side-foots it into the top-left corner. A superb goal that is maybe just a consolation. Goals galore!
Goal! Hat-trick for Haaland
Man City 4 Chelsea 0: Gusto gives it away once again and before you know it McAtee plays Haaland through on goal. Clinical stuff from the Norwegian who tucks home with his left foot.
Chelsea concede two quickfire goals once again with two strikes in as many minutes. Really sloppy again from Maresca’s men. The nature of the goals conceded tonight is worrying.
Goal! Bobb makes it three!
Man City 3 Chelsea 0: McAtee drives City forward after Chelsea’s attack breaks down. He finds Bobb who cuts in and takes a sharp shot beating Sanchez at the near post.
48 min: Man City 2 Chelsea 0
Chelsea get us underway kicking from right to left and Madueke is immediatley involved as he picks it up in a dangerous position down Chelsea’s right but his low ball is cleared.
Down the other end Bobb jinks past Colwill down City’s right before making his way down the byline and almost sneaking it past Sanchez.
A bright start form either side’s right-wingers. It was Wilson-Esbrand who made way for Galvez for City.
Half-time changes
Noni Madueke and Raheem Sterling are on for Chelsea in place of Mudryk and Caicedo.
Galvez is on for Man City – confirmation of who was withdrawn shortly.
Sloppy Chelsea, Clinical Haaland
It was all-action in the opening five minutes of that half with Haaland gifted two goals from sloppy Chelsea mistakes.
Maresca will not be phased though and will continue asking his team to play out under pressure.

The first half draws to a close with Man City leading Chelsea 2-0 thanks to Erling Haaland’s two early goals.
The first was a penalty after three minutes after Colwill brought down the Norwegian forward as Chelsea failed to clear.
The Man City captain for the evening doubled their lead just two minutes later when he was gifted the ball from Caicedo.
Maresca’s side went on to dominate possession and look promising in their build up but failed to convert their best chances that fell to Nkunku and Fernandez.
45+1 min: Man City 2 Chelsea 0
Fernandez then picks up a yellow for getting in the way of a quick free-kick. It was the Argentinian who drew the yellow the same way moments before.
There will somehow be just 1 minute of added time. The two drinks break was two minutes alone.
44 min: Man City 2 Chelsea 0
Mudryk looks to have taken a slight knock but he is soon back on his feet. Phillips, who has looked dangerous with his long-range passing so far, looks for Grealish over the top but there is too much weight on this one.
McAtee picks up a yellow card for not getting out the way of a quickly-taken free-kick. Oh so close for Chelsea! Nkunku is slipped through on goal but Gusto’s ball has too much on it. Ortega comes out to sweep up but it falls to Fernandez. He goes for the chip over the keeper but it goes inches wide. Should be 2-1.
Gusto then picks up a yellow card – possibly harsh on the Frenchman.
Goal! Haaland gives City the early lead
Man City 1 Chelsea 0 Haaland cooly slots home but is forced to retake his effort. He goes the same way and Sanchez guesses right this time but can’t get a strong enough hand to keep it out.
Goal! Haaland doubles City’s lead
Man City 2 Chelsea 0 Wow… what are Chelsea doing here? It’s Caicedo this time who gifts the ball to that man again with a blind pass. Haaland shifts the ball onto his right foot before slotting the ball past Sanchez into that bottom right corner again. 2-0.
