The UEFA champions league format has changed for 2024-2025 season. Here is how the new format looks like.

It will consist of 36 teams so far only 7 teams are yet to qualify to make it a full 36 clubs table.

Each team will play 8 games against 8 different teams, 4 at home & 4 away, there will not be return matches in the League Phase.

Teams from 1st to 8th advance directly to the last 16.

Teams from 9th to 24th will face each other in the KO playoffs to join the first 8 teams.

Teams from 25th to 36th get completely eliminated from Europe, meaning there won’t be UCL teams that get demoted to Europa League anymore.

The UEFA Champions League Draw take place on August 29th.
