She made history by becoming the first Nigerian woman to qualify for the final of the women’s 200m at the Olympics in 28 years!

Interestingly, the last time a Nigerian made the final of the women’s 200m (Atlanta 1996) was another Igbo woman, Mary Onyali, who later won a bronze medal.
