Onyeka Onwenu’s family announces burial plans.
The family of the late Nigerian music legend, Onyeka Onwenu, has revealed plans for her burial.
According to sources, Onwenu passed away on July 31st after collapsing at a birthday party in Lagos, where she had performed earlier.
The family, who received a delegation from the Musical Society of Nigeria (MCSN) at their Ikoyi residence, stated that Onwenu will be laid to rest soon, with the exact date to be announced in the coming days.
Her sons indicated that the burial will take place before the end of this month.
Since her passing, numerous celebrities have paid tribute to Onwenu, including Omawumi, Regina Askia, Malaika, Genevieve Nnaji, and Precious Chikwendu, who remembered her as an elegant stallion and an Amazon of great character and dignity.
