Exposed: PDP Agent Allegedly Caught in Voter Card Scandal – APC Demands Immediate Action

Benin City, Edo State – The All Progressives Congress (APC) New Media Directorate has brought to light a serious electoral scandal, implicating a prominent agent of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The Directorate has urgently called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to step in without delay.

The alarm was raised after a viral post surfaced online, allegedly showing a former Edo State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Madam Megom, involved in the illegal collection of voter cards. According to the APC New Media Directorate, she was reportedly offering cash in exchange for these cards—an outright violation of electoral law. The incriminating photo captures her wearing a facecap branded with the name of the PDP’s governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo.

“This blatant act raises serious questions about the integrity of the electoral process,” stated Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, Director of the APC New Media Directorate. “When did PDP agents become de facto INEC staff? We demand that INEC retrieve these illegally obtained voter cards and take legal action against Madam Megom. Such electoral malpractice cannot go unpunished.”

The Directorate further urged the IGP to arrest Madam Megom and ensure she faces justice, emphasizing that her actions could jeopardize the credibility of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.

In addition, the APC called on Edo State citizens to remain alert, claiming that the PDP is resorting to desperate and fraudulent tactics to maintain power. “The PDP, under Governor Obaseki’s failed leadership, has not fulfilled its promises. Now, they resort to electoral fraud in a bid to continue their misrule,” Omo-Ikirodah added. “The people of Edo State must reject Asue Ighodalo and the PDP’s corrupt tactics.”
