What you don’t understand is bigger than you. Abel Damina didn’t say that there are two persons of Jesus in the Bible.

He is talking about two states of the same person ~the incarnate Jesus who died and the glorified Jesus after resurrection.

The incarnate Jesus was mortal but the glorified Jesus is Immortal. The birth of Jesus does not benefit man. It is his Resurrection that brought salvation.

My response👇

The incarnate Christ is the resurrected Christ and vice versa. The incarnate Christ is immortal, it is not resurrection that made him immortal, it is his immortality that made him rise from the dead. He didn’t die because he was not immortal, he died because he had to in order to save you and I, and that’s the whole point of him becoming a man.

Write this down and read it every night before you sleep: THE INCARNATE CHRIST IS IMMORTAL, HE DIDN’T DIE BECAUSE HE WAS NOT IMMORTAL, AND RESURRECTION WASN’T WHAT MADE HIM IMMORTAL.

He died as a choice: “the father loves me, bc I lay down my life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from me, I lay it down of my own free will, and as I have power to lay it down, so I have power to take it up again” Jn10:17-18.

The same Jesus said in Jn 8: “before Abraham was , I AM”. It was a statement of his immortal status and nature, and he made it before his death and resurrection. The resurrection is not what conferred immortality or “Godness” to Jesus Christ, he didn’t become God after resurrection, the resurrection confirmed that the incarnate Christ is GodGod and immortal.

Conferment and confirmation ain’t same thing, stop confusing the two, stop dividing Jesus into the incarnate and the ressurected, that’s arbitrary and heretical. And it is not the RESURRECTION of Jesus that brought us salvation, it is JESUS CHRIST himself. Eph 2: 8 “We are saved by Grace through faith”. The point is, don’t isolate or separate the events of the Lord Jesus Christ or worse still try to divide him.

You are absolutely right that “what you don’t understand is bigger than you”, just know that the YOU here is yourself (Ashem Salem Timothy)
