Gunmen invade Church, kill three persons, kidnap Pastor 29 others
On Sunday, bandits launched a violent attack on a church service in the Bakinpah-Maro community, located in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The assault, which occurred around 10:00 a.m., resulted in the death of three people and 30 others reportedly kidnapped.
The attackers targeted both an ECWA church and a Catholic church.
The former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, confirmed the attack, although police authorities have yet to release an official statement.
Among those abducted is Bernard Gajera, a pastor from one of the churches.
This incident follows recent efforts by the Maro community to enhance local security.
Last month, residents raised funds to construct a security post in hopes of increasing law enforcement presence and deterring further attacks that have disrupted farming activities and community life.
