DOUBLE CHAMPION: Anambra’s Chigozie Rosemary Nwankwo Shines Again, Secures Second National Title

Chigozie Rosemary Nwankwo has solidified her reputation as a rising track star, clinching yet another National title. After securing the 100m gold with a record-breaking time of 12.24seconds, earning her the title of Nigeria’s fastest young sprinter, Nwankwo has now stormed to victory in the 200m event.

Crossing the finish line in a personal best of 24.71 seconds, Nwankwo’s stellar performance secured her second individual gold medal at the competition. She led an Anambra 1-2 sweep, with teammate Adaeze Ezeh from Anambra finishing in 25.02 seconds to claim silver, while Delta’s Ngozi Okereke took home the bronze with a time of 25.25 seconds.
