It is one of the industrial hubs in the eastern part of Nigeria.
The South East is the only region in Nigeria with multiple developed cities apart from their state capitals, unlike other regions, where the state capital is often the only major city.
In the South East, there are mega cities like Onitsha, Nnewi, and Aba etc These cities are not state capitals, yet they are more developed than many state capitals across Nigeria.
