Biden gives first statements on Iranian strike

The US president briefly responded to the attack during an unrelated White House event.

Biden said there were active discussion ongoing over how Israel would respond.

He added the consequences for Tehran remain to be seen and that he would soon speak with Netanyahu.

“The attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective,” Biden said, echoing an earlier statement made by his National Security Adviser. “Make no mistake the United States is fully, fully, fully supportive of Israel.”
