Welfare Package; Nigerian Army commisions  accommodation for Officers and Soldiers

The Nigerian Army has boosted its personnel’s welfare and operational efficiency by unveiling a 12-unit cabin accommodation for officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army Remotely Piloted Aircraft System Regiment in Kaduna.

General Mayirenso Lander Saraso, GOC Division 1, praised the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, for funding the project.

He also thanked the Air Chief, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, for providing space at the Nigerian Air Force Base.

Saraso said: “The Nigerian Army Remotely Piloted Aircraft System Regiment has lived up to expectations since its establishment in 2022, and this accommodation will address their major challenge.”

Major Peter Efe, Acting Commanding Officer of NARPAS, thanked the Army Chief for approving the accommodation’s construction, promising to maintain it.

Efe recalled that the Regiment began operations in 2022, initially facing challenges with accommodation.

This was resolved when the Army Chief approved the construction of a 12-unit cabin facility for the Regiment.

The project began December 24, 2022, and was completed August 2, 2024.
