President does not isolate himself in Aso Rock– Senator reveals what Tinubu does at night

The lawmaker representing Abia North in the 10th senate, Orji Kalu, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu often takes nighttime drives around Abuja to personally gauge the living conditions of Nigerians amid ongoing economic difficulties.

During an interview with Channels Television, Kalu emphasised the president’s commitment to understanding the struggles faced by ordinary citizens.

“The president is aware that Nigerians are suffering and experiencing hunger. He knows the streets well,” Kalu remarked, underscoring Tinubu’s awareness of the country’s economic challenges.

Kalu noted that the president sometimes ventures out in his car at night to witness the situation directly.

“He is not a president who isolates himself from reality. He is well-informed about the issues, whether related to security or daily life, and often travels with one or two vehicles,” he said.

While acknowledging the significant impact of current economic hardships on Nigerians, Kalu pointed out that these challenges are not exclusive to Nigeria, as many countries are facing similar difficulties.

“Honestly, I understand that things have not been ideal. The economy has been tough, and this issue is affecting nations globally,” Kalu stated.

He encouraged Nigerians to be patient, as the government is actively pursuing reforms aimed at long-term economic recovery, even if the process may be painful.
