Every time I tell people that Igbo people needs to be studied and applied in this country, they often don’t understand me. I have always said that in my next life, I want to be an Igbo man.

It’s because all my friends are Igbo that I went and built a gigantic mansion in my village. It has become a tourist center, as many people wonder how I spent so much money on a village mansion that I don’t even live in. Well, I learned that from my Igbo people.

If you doubt me, just travel to one of the Igbo villages, and you will wonder if it’s really a village. You know it’s a village because of the bushes and the local roads, but the kind of mansions you will see there will humble you.

I just visited a village in Nnewi, and I can’t finish narrating what I saw. I began to ask, “Who are the Igbo people really?” Just look at this hotel. It wasn’t built in Lagos; if it were in Lagos, it would be recognized as one of the best hotels in town. But guess what? The owner built it in his village, and it’s fully booked. People from different places come to this village to lodge. If you look around and zoom in on the pictures, you will see mansions everywhere, and most of the owners are either trekking on foot or riding motorbikes.

Yes, I am half Igbo now, but what I want in my next life is to be a full-blooded Igbo man,” concluded Mc Mbakara.
