Kogi State Reaffirms Commitment To Combating Criminality

Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with security agencies in order to combat criminality.
The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, made this Statement in his office, Lokoja on Tuesday while receiving the state Commandant of Counter Terrorism Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Quadri Ibrahim who paid him a courtesy visit.
Governor Ododo represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu praised the Nigerian police Force for complementing the state’s crime-fighting efforts. He expressed confidence in the police personnel’s professionalism and promised to continue the partnership.
Governor Ododo pledged additional resources to enhance Kogi’s security infrastructure, citing positive results from ongoing state-police collaboration. He urged all security agencies to unite behind his administration and support decisions safeguarding residents’ lives and properties.
While speaking, Quadri Ibrahim commended Governor Ododo’s investments in security, assuring continued professionalism in ensuring public safety. He lauded Governor Ododo for inclusive governance and thanked him for boosting morale among security personnel.
The Kogi State Government’s commitment to security aligns with its history of proactive measures, such as establishing the Kogi State Security Trust Fund to pool resources for security reinforcement .
Under Governor Ododo, the state made significant strides in security, purchasing vehicles and motorbikes for patrols and training local security outfits. These efforts have contributed to Kogi’s improved security landscape.
