Plateau-born Security Expert, Solomon Chendan Turned Down $50,000 Alleged Bribe from Chinese Armoured Electrical Cable Vandals

Plateau-born Private Security Consultant and the CEO/MD of Scottbrian Global Security Services (SGSS), Mr. Solomon Nandy Chendan has proven that good and patriotic Nigerians still exist and working to ensure that the Nation’s assets are protected and safeguarded against both local and foreign vandals.
This act of patriotism Solomon Nandy Chendan displayed as a Whistleblower who turned down a whooping sum of $50,000 dollars equivalent to over #80 million naira which was alleged to be a bribe from a Chinese Company reportedly to be involved in the vandalism of Armoured Electrical Cables in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja and reporting the issue to the Department of State Services Abuja Command.
Mr. Solomon Nandy Chendan a private Investigator during a Brekete Live Family Program on 26th March, 2024 gave a vivid account of how he collaborated with an upright Police Personnel and some Military Personnel to intercept the Truck conveying the alleged stolen Armoured Electrical Cables that were vandalized by some Chinese Expatriates in Abuja.

According to him, he took the risk of carrying out an investigation on the activities of the Chinese Expatriates for a Week and with the help of the Police Personnel which he involved in the undercover, they were able to track down and arrest the truck with the help of Men of the Nigerian Army which they alerted while the truck was approaching their checkpoint.

He said one of the employees of the Chinese Expatriates after the interception of the truck loaded with the allegedly stolen Armoured Electrical Cables, a Nigerian upon knowing that he speaks Hausa fluently contacted his Chinese Boss who he alleged offered him the sum of $50,000 dollars as bribe to facilitate the release of the truck.
He said he knows the bad image the Nation and its citizens have with the International community and was not ready to allow that continue. He went further to state that it is imperative for Nigeria s to work towards changing the bad image the Country is suffering from especially the stigmatization through deliberate efforts and conduct of the Citizens. He said he also sensed sabotage of the Chinese company in the power sector with the alleged destruction and carting away with the Armoured Electrical Cables which has adversely affected power supply to many parts of the Country.
He averred that the Chinese Company are involved in vandalizing armoured electrical cables, recycling and reselling the inferior and compromised quality back to Nigerians.
He hinted that he got to know the shady activities of the Chinese Company after a careful undercover intelligence gathering and a week-long surveillance.
He said while conveying the alleged stolen Armoured Electrical Cables from Dede Area in Abuja to Lagos, they alerted the Army Personnel at Mandalla Checkpoint who cooperated with them and intercepted the truck on arrival as his colleague the Police Inspector was constantly community and alerting him about the truck.
He said collecting the $50,000 will mean selling his Country.

The issue has been referred to the Department of State Services Abuja Command for further investigation with the hope that justice will prevail and if found guilty, the Vandals are to face the full wrath of the law.
This patriotic gesture and integrity demonstrated by Mr. Solomon Nandy Chendan need to be commended and emulated by the Citizenry for the progress and growth of the Country.
