Leadway Group Backs Women Empowerment Program

Leadway Group has expressed its commitment and dedication towards promoting and empowering women to excel in their various professional careers.

This the Group demonstrated with sponsorship of She Leads Africa (SLA) Level Up Career Fair 2024, which held at the University of Lagos, with over 1,500 participants, including young female graduates, employers, and industry leaders in attendance.

The SLA Level Up Career Fair is an initiative of She Leads Africa, a platform focused on equipping young African women with tools for personal and professional growth. The event aims to foster networking opportunities and professional development across diverse career paths.

During a panel session titled “Staying Ahead of the Game: How to Future-Proof Your Career in a Constantly Evolving World,” Rahinatu Omolamai, Manager of the HNC Segment at Leadway Pensure, shared valuable lessons from her 20 years in the financial services sector. She discussed strategies for adapting to industry changes, building strong client relationships, and harnessing leadership skills to achieve sustained career success.

Omolamai, further stated that Leadway’s dedication to supporting women, stating, “At Leadway, we are committed to empowering women not just within our organisation but also within the communities we serve. Our support for the SLA Level Up Career Fair aligns with our goal of fostering an inclusive environment where women can excel in their careers, especially through our women-focused Hersurred community.”

Also, Head of Corporate Services at Leadway Holdings, Aishat Bello-Garuba,

highlighted the importance of the partnership with She Leads Africa (SLA), stating that the event aligns with Leadway’s broader efforts to foster gender diversity and inclusion through impactful collaborations with external communities.

She explained that the partnership with SLA allows the organisation to support a platform that links women to prospective employers while offering opportunities to gain insights from seasoned professionals.

She said, “The SLA Career Fair embodies Hersurred’s commitment to empowering women and advancing their career development, reinforcing Leadway’s mission to create inclusive spaces where women can thrive,”.
