Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has won a contract for a construction transport and installation project in West Africa from an unnamed client.
DOF said that it would utilise the vessel Maersk Installer for the duration of the project, estimated to be between 100 and 150 days.
The project includes the installation of flexible products and various subsea structures and preparations are already underway. Offshore execution is planned for the third quarter of 2024. The contract value is between $19m and $29m.
“With the recently announced award from Shell, this is the second large job won for the Maersk Installer in the last few weeks. After this award, the backlog for the vessel is strong in the second half of 2024,” said Mons Aase, CEO of DOF Group.
The Shell contract Aase referred to was a deal for subsea engineering, preparation, removal, and disposal at the Knarr and Gaupe fields. The contract worth between $24m and $48m was for a total of 100 days for the Skandi Hera and Maersk Installer.
