Tragic flood in Taraba claims 1 life, leaves another missing
A devastating flood struck Nguroje community in Taraba State, causing widespread destruction and claiming the life of one individual, while another remains missing.
The heavy rainfall, lasting for hours, resulted in the displacement of numerous residents and inflicted severe damage on agricultural lands.
Nelson Lens, the Taraba State House of Assembly Member representing Nguroje Constituency, expressed deep regret over the unfortunate incident.

Efforts are now underway to construct waterway channels to mitigate future flooding risks, and relief materials have been promptly distributed to aid the affected individuals.
The deceased victim has been identified as Gomma Saidu, while search operations continue in hopes of finding the missing person. Despite the tragedy, the community is rallying together to overcome the aftermath of this devastating flood.
