Iran renews vowing to retaliate for Israeli attack in Syria

The chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has denounced the recent assault on Iran’s consulate office in Syria, pledging retaliation to inflict maximum damage on the enemy at the appropriate time.

Major General Mohammad Bagheri, speaking at the funeral procession of Mohammad Reza Zahedi and six other military advisors killed in an Israeli attack in Damascus, condemned the act as an act of desperation by the Israeli regime.

He asserted that, “we will surely retaliate”, warning the enemy against underestimating the resolve of the Iranian people.

Bagheri emphasized that the Israeli regime’s attempt to exert dominance in the strategic region of West Asia has failed, thanks to the efforts of Quds Force fighters and the people of various Islamic countries, including Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Syria, as well as the resilience of the Iranian nation.
