Today in the African Cup Of Nations Qualifiers, Nigeria welcomed Benin Republic to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The first half of the game could have ended in a goalless draw if not for a late goal at the added minutes of the half by Ademola Lookman which saw the host take a goal lead going into halftime.
At the 78th minute, Victor Osimhen who was introduced from the bench extended the lead for the Super Eagles. And a second goal for Lookman at the 83rd minute saw Nigeria take full points from their opening game in the Qualifiers.
Also, Cameroon hosted Namibia to the Japoma Stadium. A goal from Aboubakar at the 65th minute was enough for the home country to secure full points from the fixture which ended 1-0 in favour of Cameroon.
