Beggars Be Gone: Abia State Kicks Off “Operation Beta Cleanup”!
The Abia State government, through its agency Abia Harmonized Task Force Aba South, has commenced the evacuation of beggars in Aba town, particularly at Beta Junction and surrounding areas, due to the nuisance caused by their presence.
The cleanup operation was led by Hon. Uchechukwu Wogu, Mayor of Aba South LGA, alongside Deputy Mayor Nkiru Ugwu, Immigration Officers headed by Okoronkwo Jessy, and officers from NSCDC.
This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to restore sanity and security throughout Abia State, with the Abia Harmonized Task Force already successfully clearing out Agboro at Osisioma Junction and other parts of the city.
