Tor Olav Trøim-backed jackup rig player Borr Drilling has won new contracts worth a total of $158.6m.
The Oslo-and New York-listed company has secured a combined utilisation of 820 days for the 2013-built Prospector 1, the 2018-built Gunnlod and another rig yet to be determined.
The Prospector 1, which has been working for Neptune Energy off the Netherlands, and been fixed for 250 days in the North Sea on multiple contracts that started in March.
The Gunnlod has been committed to Southeast Asia for 90 days from May this year when its contract with Rock Oil offshore Malaysia was set to expire.
Lastly, Borr added another 480 days to its backlog through a deal with an undisclosed client that will see one of the rigs start between the fourth quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.
Borr recently saw one of its jackups suspended for 12 months in Saudi Arabia, in a series of suspension notices Aramco sent to several drilling contractors.
