BREAKING; ASUU threatens another strike, issues fresh utimatum to Federal Govt

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has issued a new 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to address unresolved issues.

ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, announced this in a statement on Wednesday, expressing frustration over the government’s perceived lack of commitment and ongoing delays.

Osodeke stated that the union is fed up with the government’s stalling tactics, prompting ASUU to give the administration of President Bola Tinubu a final 14-day deadline, beginning on Monday, September 23.

The statement read: “In view of the foregoing, ASUU resolves to give the Nigerian Government another 14 days, in addition to the earlier 21 days, beginning from Monday, September 23, 2024, during which all the lingering issues must have been concretely addressed to the satisfaction of the membership of the union.
