Emmanuel Amunike, the current best and most expensive coach in Nigeria, has been unveiled as the new Heartland FC coach. This comes after unconfirmed reports suggesting that Beyond Limit has sold their NPFL slot to Heartland FC, meaning that Heartland will play in the Nigeria Premier League in the 2024/2025 season.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has assured Amunike of providing all necessary support to sign top players who will help him win the Nigeria Premier League and compete in the CAF Champions League, aiming to restore Heartland FC to its former glory.
This commitment from the Imo State Governor comes after Enyimba FC and Rangers International turned the Nigeria league into an RL Clasico a few months ago, which led Heartland FC fans to urge Governor Uzodimma to do everything possible to make Heartland a contender against Enyimba FC and Rangers International this season.
