Following their disappointing draw with Brentford, Manchester United is once more fighting to salvage their season, but their owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is also having difficulties with any of his clubs.

Manchester United is once again in a crisis following their miserable Saturday draw with Brentford.

It was fortunate for the Red Devils to escape their matchup with the Bees with a draw. Sir Jim Ratcliffe has expressed dissatisfaction with recent performances, which has put pressure on manager Erik ten Hag to improve.

However, Ratcliffe is dealing with turmoil in the locker room at one of his other Nice-based clubs. This unrest coincides with Jamie Carragher’s selection of Kobbie Mainoo as the Liverpool player he wants to see play the most.

Additionally, the announcement that Anthony Taylor will be in charge of Sunday’s match against United has infuriated Liverpool supporters. Mirror Football compiles all of the most recent Manchester United news here.

Carragher asserts Mainoo

The one member of Manchester United that Jamie Carragher would most like to see play for Liverpool is Kobbie Mainoo. Carragher is the most recent to praise Mainoo, who has had a stellar season for the Red Devils.

“I believe I would definitely take Mainoo, the young child. First of all, given his age, I think he looks like a superstar and has the potential to become one,” Carragher said on The Overlap Fan Debate.

“I’m trying to figure out who else on the United team would be more effective in that role. But Mainoo in central midfield, I believe. Yes, just based on his age, I would choose him.”

It has been confirmed that Anthony Taylor will officiate Sunday’s match between Manchester United and Liverpool. But because Taylor is from Greater Manchester, that decision has infuriated Reds supporters.

Taylor has had multiple encounters with Jurgen Klopp and is a supporter of the non-league team Altrincham. Even though he oversaw Liverpool’s historic 5-0 thrashing of United in 2021, Reds supporters have continued to express their worries.

“I’m sure that Greater Manchester’s Anthony Taylor will be fair & impartial when Liverpool play Manchester United at Old Trafford in Manchester,” wrote another. One person asked, “Why do Manchester clubs get Manchester referees?”

Ratcliffe dealing with chaos in the changing room

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the manager of Manchester United, is dealing with turmoil in the locker room at Nice, a team he also owns. Nice has had a terrible run of one win in eight games, but Ratcliffe has owned the team since 2019 through his company Ineos.

After Saturday’s loss to Nantes, a team fighting for relegation, goalkeeper Marcin Bulka made a hint about issues at Ratcliffe’s team. Bulka pinned the responsibility for his team’s dismal performance on his teammates.

“I don’t understand some attitudes on the team,” he remarked. We’ll talk about it away from the camera, in the changing room. Everybody should examine themselves and determine whether or not they are displaying desire.”
