Professor Sheri Adeosun, the esteemed president of the Relume Charitable Foundation in Nigeria and the USA, is currently mourning the loss of her mother, Madam Bukonla Balogun, who passed away at the age of 92 last week.

Still reeling from the shock of her mother’s departure, Professor Adeosun fondly remembers the woman who instilled in her values of kindness and compassion, shaping her into a person dedicated to uplifting the less fortunate.

Despite her demanding schedule, Professor Adeosun remains committed to her philanthropic work, recently engaging with school children in Makoko, Lagos, and donating to a private school in Idogo, Ogun State during her visit to Nigeria.

Reflecting on her mother’s final moments, Professor Adeosun shared, “I was in the country for an important assignment and decided to spend time with her, only to find her weak. Despite our efforts, she passed away a week later. All is well.”

Madam Balogun, survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, will soon receive a dignified farewell as loved ones gather to honour her memory.
