Court Grants Approval To Sèrve Mohbad’s Wife With A ‘D.NA Test Notice’

The Chief Magistrate Court in Ikorodu has authorized serving Wunmi, the spouse of the deceased singer Mohbad, with a DNA test notice via alternative methods.

This ruling enables Mohbad’s family to deliver the DNA test notice to Wunmi at her most recent known location.

The Chief Magistrate Court in Ikorodu has determined that Wunmi, the spouse of the deceased singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, is eligible to receive a DNA test notice through alternative methods.

A statement seen by reporters on Wednesday and signed by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team representing the Aloba family, confirmed the court’s ruling.

Emmanuel Oroko, leading the legal team, argued that previous attempts by the court sheriff to serve Wunmi with court documents had been unsuccessful.

Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, submitted an application through the legal team, requesting an order to serve Wunmi by posting all relevant court documents to her last-known address.

The court approved the request, permitting service by posting the court documents to Wunmi’s last-known address. This method ensures proper service and informs her about the ongoing lawsuit.

The Aloba family is disputing the paternity of baby Liam and has filed an application with the Family Court requesting an order for both Wunmi and baby Liam to undergo a DNA test at a recognized laboratory in Lagos.

Despite Wunmi’s assertion in a widely circulated video that she is willing to undergo a DNA test, she has purportedly been unreachable for the court sheriff to deliver the initiating motion.
