The revelation was made by the Oluwo Afobaje of Ibadanland, Chief Wahab Mosadogun while featuring on a Fresh 105.9fm live show on Sunday morning in Ibadan.

Chief Mosadogun said the ‘Obas’ were never given any staff of office.

“All we did for them was just to pray for them (Iwure). There was no traditional ‘Etutu’ performed on their behalf, they did not open the traditional ‘calabash’ too and they were not taken to the Ose Meji. We all know that all these rites are reserved only for the new Olubadan.”
