A mild drama played out in court on Friday, April 12 when Idris Okuneye, popular crossdresser known as Bobrisky, confessed being a man.
The crossdresser has ignited controversy over his sexuality due to his cross-dressing lifestyle.
Bobrisky also claimed to have undergone different surgeries to make change his gender.
But shortly before he was handed a six-month jail term, Justice Abimbola Awogboro asked the convict of his sex, and he quickly replied, “I am a man, my Lord.”
The judge ruled that the jail-term — with no option of fine — commenced from March 24, 2024, the day of his arrest.
The judge said his sentence would serve as a deterrent for those who wish to abuse naira notes at events.
Recall that the court had on April 5, 2024, convicted him after pleaded guilty to the four counts charge of abusing the naira currency made against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
