Edo Guber; To go where; Davido slams police over order instructing voters to go home after casting their votes

Afrobeat star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has kicked against the stance of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Frank Mba, urging voters to go back to their houses immediately after casting their votes in the ongoing Edo State gubernatorial election.

Mbah had during an interview with Channels Television on Saturday, September 21, urged Edo residents to exercise their franchise and return home immediately.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun had earlier announced restriction on vehicular movement in the state from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Mba had said: “If you’re not accredited to participate in the election, you shouldn’t be on the streets. Cast your vote and return home; it’s your civic duty.”

However, Davido, disagreed with the stance which called for voters to go home after voting.

In a terse statement on X, Davido had written : “Bruh #inecnigeria fix up we can’t continue like this .. wtf”
