EFCC Dètains Cubana Chief Priest Overnight To Arràign Him Today Over Naira Abûse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, ahead of his court appearance today at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Cubana Chief Priest is set to face Justice Kehinde Ogundare in court on three charges related to the misuse of the Nigerian currency, specifically for allegedly spraying and altering the nation’s money during a social gathering, which goes against the regulations outlined in the Central Bank Act of 2007.

Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the EFCC, verified the situation during a phone conversation with our correspondent on Tuesday.

Oyewale disclosed, “Indeed, Cubana Chief Priest is currently in our custody, and he is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday).”
