EPL: Man Utd stars don’t want to play for Ten Hag – Wayne Rooney claims
Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, on Sunday, accused senior players at the club of playing up their injuries.
Rooney was speaking about United losing 1-0 to Arsenal at Old Trafford.
It was their second consecutive defeat and 14th overall in the Premier League.
The result leaves United sitting in eighth position and heading towards their worst possible finish in Premier League history.
After the game, Rooney criticized some of the senior players of the squad who are currently out injured.
“You look at the injuries and some of those players could play; 100 percent.
“You have a European Championships coming up and an FA Cup final coming up. It is easy for players to stay out for a little bit and then come back towards the European Championships. I have seen it myself over the years.
“I just think the players who have been injured are not filling themselves with any credit at the minute,” Rooney said on Sky Sports.
