The team for Berlin includes creative director Adriano Martella, artistic and show director Marco Boarino, associate creative director Giulia Accatino, production designer Florian Wieder and choreographer Sadeck Waff.

The performances at the closing ceremony were directed by Filmmaster. It is an Italian company among the world’s most reputed in the industry of events, large-scale shows, entertainment and new communication languages.

Their portfolio the opening and closing ceremonies of UEFA EURO 2012 and UEFA EURO 2016, as well as the opening ceremony of UEFA EURO 2020 in Rome, alongside multiple Olympic collaborations.

Together, they have crafted the official song of UEFA EURO 2024, forming a “super band” set to perform it in the show’s second half.

In the song’s finale, live spectators participate in an impressive TIFO stunt, setting the stage for the ultimate picture: the two finalists flags are displayed on the pitch, announcing the players’ entrance.

After the handshake and the dance, three international stars take the stage: Meduza, One Republic and Leony.

As the two groups – representing all EURO fans – draw nearer, their leaders, dressed in the colours of Spain and England, leap towards each other to meet and shake hands at the centre of the stage.

The dancers then form into a double “human wall”, marking the start of a dance routine, which utilises performers’ hands and arms to create perfectly synchronised movements.

Produced by Filmmaster, the ceremony starts with a vast carpet being rolled out across the pitch, transforming the stadium into a huge performance stage.

The carpet and the iconic stage erected upon it are specifically designed to enhance the “handshake” gesture’s significance.

Two EURO-blue paths extend from the goals across the pitch, converging at the center with a stage comprised of two opposing ramps that intertwine like clasped hands.

Its central theme is to honour the iconic value of a universal gesture: the handshake.
