Ex-midfielder Petit advises Chelsea against signing Osimhen
Emmanuel Petit has warned Chelsea against pursuing a deal for Nigeria and Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen.
The former Chelsea midfielder urges the club to focus on nurturing their existing talent instead.
Osimhen, who has garnered attention as one of European’s top strikers, has been linked with a move to Chelsea as they seek additional attacking power to their lineup.
However, Petit believes that investing in the development of current squad members should be prioritized over pursuing new signings like Osimhen.
“I don’t think Chelsea need Gyokeres or Osimhen.
“With Chelsea, there are so many players who are not playing to their level and can do so much more,” Petit said in an interview with Genting Casino.
Osimhen so far has 12 goals and three assists in 19 league appearances for Napoli this season.
Despite reported interest from other top clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, the African Best Player is reportedly keen on a move to the West London.
