In what marks the most significant assault on Israel to date, explosions reverberated across various areas early Sunday as air defenses scrambled to intercept a barrage of drones and missiles launched from Iran.
Rocket sirens blared, echoing through southern Israel, including Eilat, Beersheba, Dimona, Nevatim, and other regions.
According to a report from Anadolu, sirens and loud noises were also heard in Jerusalem, including above the Knesset, Israel’s parliament building.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service confirmed that one person was critically injured in the southern Negev region during the attack.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of dozens of drones and missiles toward Israel, citing Israeli actions, including an attack on the Iranian Embassy’s consular section in Damascus.
