Father allegedly defiled his 12-year-old Daughter — Wife reports to Police

One 41-year-old Ibrahim Aliu in Papa Olosun, Oja Odan in the Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun state has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly raping his 12-year-old daughter.

His estranged wife, Temitope Egbebi, lodged a complaint against him at the Oja Odan Divisional Police Office which eventually led to his arrest on Thursday.

Egbebi alleged that Aliu defiled the victim every time she paid him visits for the holidays.

She informed the police that she made this discovery after taking the girl to the State Hospital in Ilaro for examination and treatment of discharges from her genital area.

The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed this in a statement on Friday, October 11.

She said: “On Thursday at about 1410hrs one Egbebi Temitope “f” of Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan reported an immoral behaviour of her estranged husband, one Aliu Ibrahim “m” 41 years old of the same Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan. He was discovered to have been having unlawful carnal knowledge of their 12-year-old daughter.

“He defiled her since about two years ago each time the innocent girl went to spend the holiday with him.

“The sexual assault was discovered when she took the girl to the State Hospital, Ilaro for examination and treatment over untreated vaginal discharge that has been occurring in the little child’s reproductive organ for an unknown period.”

Odutola stated that, due to the allegations, Aliu was taken into custody and admitted to the crime during questioning. She added that the suspect will soon be moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
