In preparation for the upcoming Sallah celebration, the ‘Lawanti Community Development Foundation’ in Gombe State has generously provided grains and clothing to approximately 250 orphans and vulnerable children from various communities near Lawanti village, Akko local government area.

Abubakar Abu Ubaidah, the executive director of the foundation, emphasized that the donation aimed to offer relief to orphans and disadvantaged children, ensuring they can partake in the festivities like other community members.

“This charitable act has been a tradition for the past decade, reflecting the organisation’s commitment beyond seasonal aid to encompass education and healthcare support.”

“The foundation’s efforts extend further, with initiatives such as constructing a community junior secondary school and a hospital, contributing significantly to the village’s development.”

Abdullahi Usman, chairman of the distribution committee, highlighted that beneficiaries were selected from various communities, demonstrating the foundation’s inclusive reach in uplifting vulnerable populations.
