Governor elevates three Special Assistants to Commissioners in Cabinet reshuffle

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has appointed his Special Assistants to take over key ministries as acting commissioners, following the recent dismissal and suspension of several officials.

Franklin Ukah, Special Assistant on Water Resources, will now lead the Ministry of Water Resources, while Patrick Enyi, Special Assistant on Housing and Urban Development, will oversee the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Additionally, Dr. Sabinus Nwibo, Special Assistant on Primary Health, has been tasked with managing the State Ministry of Health as acting commissioner.

The announcement was made by Jude Okpo, Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abakaliki.

The suspended commissioners, Chinedu Nkah (Water Resources), Engr. Francis Ori (Housing and Urban Development), and Dr. Moses Ekuma (Health), were removed over allegations of gross misconduct and failure to fulfill their duties effectively.

Governor Nwifuru directed the new acting commissioners to assume their roles immediately.
