HERE ARE 7 WAYS TO MAKE COOL MONEY FROM THE ONGOING BIG BROTHER NAIJA SHOW.
Before i set out for the day, i thought i should share ethical ways you can make money from the ongoing Big brother Naija show and if you do it well, you can make and annual recurring income.
1. Create “Fan pages” for the contestants: Pick one contestant from all the 20 or 30 of them, chose one with a likeable character, one that may likely reach the finals and create a fanpage dedicated to all their activities in the house. This is the fastest way to build a target audience who are mádly glued to that contestant. Make sure you post according to the aura, emotions and vibes of that contestant and be consistent at it.
People show so much emotions towards the show, if you do this well, you could later take adverts on the fanpage on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook or even Whatsapp Channel or all at once, then later sell/gift such a fanpage to the real contestant when they are out or continue using same to promote life after BBNaija for such a housemate.
To be safe, if you can wield that much pressure, create for all contestants or selected ones that could go far. (Make sure you do this immediately the show starts because that’s when people are searching for fanpages to follow.
2. Create a General “Updates” pages for the Show: This is what so many people easily do. The problem with this type is, if you don’t do it intelligently you may be slammed with copyright infringement and your page brought down. So you must give proper disclaimer and tag the respected owners and contestants that appeared in the content.
So many people easily chose this route, you’d usually be left with little audience-share, but if you keep up, gain originality and watermark contents appropriately you’ll gain dominance.
3. Review the Show on Youtube: You need to have a previously monetized youtube channel. Begin to review contestants or the general show, activities, f!ghts etc.
The Engagement after every tasks, eviction ceremony or a saturday’s night party is always huge. You must keep tabs on to give a good review with your voice and/or Face about the previous activity.
You’ll build audience with the BBNaija fanbase while also posting the normal content of your Vlog as long as it cuts across entertainment.
4. A Facebook/Tiktok Review Page: Now that monetization is a thing on Facebook, Attention on its own is a wealth creator. Begin to make review videos just like i stated in number 3 Above.
On Tiktok you could easily go viral with it and build larger audience for yourself if you are consistent and gives prompt updates.
5. Create a community: Yes, be the Whatsapp group Admin of a community of any housemate. This is the fastest way to get closer to that housemate. If you have an existing community you could also use that, but one named after the housemate works magic.
Bring in like minds, plan strategies, familiarize with their IG handler to also join and bring in more people. Your goal is to be part of the founders and team lead. If all goes well, you’ll seat and dine or even be part of the people to usher your winner out of the house and it continues after the show as you’ll plan birthdays, ceremonies and be in custody of huge donations, you might even have direct access contacts to the housemate.
6. Have a Blog section for the show Review: Start by writing about the Biographies of all the contestants because within the first week people would be searching for “Age & Full name of XXXXX” where XXXX is the housemate’s Nickname or Pair-name.
Give daily updates, tasks updates, the current HOH or Pair-HOH or Custodian as they may call it, write about the winner of every tasks, their violations and f!ghts etc.
With the fast rising traffic, you can monetize via Google Adsense and other ad-networks.
7. Create Viral Pages: Pick the hottest in-demand sector and create a viral page about it, you can even boost same via advertising or use existing community you own.
The good thing is, once a viral page begins to go viral, as more people land on your viral pages, perform the simple tasks, more and more people will join and the loop continues, while you’ll monetize the social traffic via any direct link ads of your choice.
I know of Bloggers who have created a Niche for themselves making money and building a better future out of the massive audience of the Big brother show– not just the Big brother Naija but the one in US, CA, ZA etc and they have large audience spanning across the world.
Do this ethically, don’t video you TV screen to give live updates (as this is in violation and may get your page blocked), remain consistent, hire people or come up with friends of like-minds and set this up, you have a high chance of success as long as the buzz and audience of the show remains.
