HERE ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES YOU MAY FACE WITH GOOGLE ADSENSE ARBITRAGE.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES YOU MAY FACE WITH GOOGLE ADSENSE ARBITRAGE.
1. Google Adsense Account Ban: For various reasons which may not be made known to you, Google may chose to ban your Adsense account. Doesn’t matter how much you have inside, they’d ban it and your chances of a positive outcome of an appeal is so slim that, often times its a waste of time even appealing in the first place.
If we want to talk about Adsense ban and the many heartbreaks, we’d be talking till next year and we’d not be done with it. This is why every arbitrage blogger appreciate the bank alert (not the Google payment email) the bank alert that your payment has been received in your account. If not for age, the tension it brings can even raise your BP. There’s been a case with a friend that was banned on 21st, Google called back their transfer and he didn’t get paid.
2. Google Adsense Limit: Instead of an outright ban, Google can limit your blog from displaying ads temporarily for a few days, 2 weeks, a month or even more. This way, they have time to review your past traffic and all ad-codes on your site won’t serve advertisements until the limit is lifted. In rare cases, during the ads limit you may be served the hot pepper soup of an Adsense ban.
3. LOW Adsense CPC: This is majorly caused by 2 or more things. The RPM of the kind of posts on your blog, the GEO of the visitors and your traffic sources. Ordinarily if you get everything right and you’re consistent, quality ads will begin to show on the blog and your CPC can grow as high as even 1-2 USD. This means for every click on ads you get 1 or 1.xx USD or even more.
But this doesn’t come cheap, as you need a whole lot of traffic coming in, for the algorithm to be able to check your traffic quality and if good they’ll begin to show high-paying ads on the blog, and it also depends on prior conversions from your traffic–the higher your bounce-rates the lower your cpc, if you use very engaging traffic sources, the CPC will grow.
4. POOR CONVERSION OF ADS: Like the number 3 above, there are type of ads with more conversion than the other, one is more expensive than the other, but because people want it cheap, they often go for what they spend less, unfortunately over time you’ll figure that if you had spent more on the expensive ones you’ll grow and have headways than focusing on the cheapest methods.
So, poor conversions of ads happens when… the traffic hitting your blog isn’t converting for the advertisers, over time, you either get low RPM, CPC and sometimes clicks slashed or clicks not counted as often.
5. Ads / Ad Creative Wahala: Back in the days, any ad creative can work, but as the market got saturated, attention span reduced for users, because they now see more of the related ads overtime, you now have to tell/show the audience more catchy stuff for them to perform action.
The algorithm also now favours those who’s ad creatives don’t stress the system with more optimization since their ads gets users to take quick and easy actions.
This may be as a reason of people duplicating other people’s ads, poor optimizations, too many texts on ads or even low spending because the systems actually needs a lot of data to quickly learn about the ads and distribute it appropriately.
This is why it’s no longer typical.
Mr. A can be running an ad and Mr. B running same ads but would be getting different results, all these boils down to how easy it is for audience to interact with this ads, relate with the ad-copy and easily take action.
The easier it is, the lower the cost of running this ads, often times it take a few days to weeks for this to come down, but Mr. B may not be patient enough, Mr. B may be touchy changing budget of ads every 2 seconds, confusing the system and algorithm, pausing and unpausing ads, adding new creative here and there and end up wasting money on less converting ads.
